Esther Perel is taking the stage again. The psychotherapist, New York Times bestselling author, and host of Where Should We Begin? announced Strangers, Friends, and Lovers: A Night Out with Esther Perel, an eight-date North America run from April 13 to May 2, 2027.
The tour opens at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and closes at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. In between: The Masonic in San Francisco, McCaw Hall in Seattle, DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., the Chicago Theatre, Meridian Hall in Toronto, and the Beacon Theatre in New York. The routing was reported by Pollstar. Tour info is also on estherperel.com/tour.
“We know that strong, meaningful relationships are essential to a healthy and happy life. So why are we increasingly isolating ourselves, avoiding one another, and finding it harder to connect?” Perel said in the announcement.
This is not a standard lecture. Promoters have pitched the show as an immersive, audience-participation evening — a follow-up to the production that premiered in Australia in December 2026 at Sydney’s Darling Harbour Theatre, Melbourne’s Plenary, and Brisbane’s Great Hall. The official site asks: “What if the future of our relationships begins in a room full of strangers?”

How to buy tickets
- Check estherperel.com/tour and sign up for artist alerts before Oct. 7.
- Citi cardholders should be online at 10 a.m. local on Tuesday, Oct. 6. That is the first public window.
- Hit the artist presale at 10 a.m. local on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
- Be online at 10 a.m. local on Friday, Oct. 9 for the general on-sale. Most of these rooms clear through Ticketmaster or Live Nation.
- If face value sells out, compare verified resale on Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, StubHub, and Capital City Tickets. Fees usually land at checkout, and the Beacon and the Dolby can price above face value.
What the night is
Perel built her live reputation on sold-out conversation shows, including a 2022 Australia tour. Strangers, Friends, and Lovers is the next version: less lecture, more room-wide exercise in how people meet, flirt, argue, and reconnect. Expect stories from Mating in Captivity and the podcast, plus audience participation. It is a seated theater night, not a club set. No support act has been announced.
City notes for the biggest on-sales
- New York, Beacon Theatre (April 28): Reserved seating on the Upper West Side. Orchestra center goes first. Venue info is at msg.com.
- Los Angeles, Dolby Theatre (April 13): Hollywood opener, the same room as the Oscars. Center orchestra is the premium ticket. Details at dolbytheatre.com.
- Chicago, Chicago Theatre (April 23): Historic reserved room on State Street. Balcony can be the value seat if the floor climbs. Site: thechicagotheatre.com.
- Toronto, Meridian Hall (April 25): About 3,200 seats. Live Nation Ontario posted the on-sale for Friday at 10 a.m., per the Nilsen Report.
- Boston, MGM Music Hall at Fenway (May 2): Tour finale next to Fenway Park. Reserved and limited standing options depending on the hold.
- Washington, D.C., DAR Constitution Hall (April 21): Large reserved hall. Aisle seats in the lower bowl are the practical pick.
Bottom line
Eight cities, a Citi window on Oct. 6, and a public on-sale on Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. local. Artist presale on Oct. 7 is the cleanest path to face value if you are not a Citi cardholder, especially at the Beacon, the Dolby, and the Chicago Theatre. Start at estherperel.com/tour.
