The Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 lineup has officially dropped, and it’s a massive, genre-blending explosion headlined by some of the biggest names in pop, alternative, and electronic music. Announced on March 17, 2026, the festival returns to Grant Park from July 30 to August 2, 2026, promising four days of non-stop performances across multiple stages.
Headliners include Charli XCX, Lorde, Tate McRae, Olivia Dean, The Smashing Pumpkins, JENNIE (from BLACKPINK), The xx, and John Summit. This year’s top bill leans heavily into pop and hyperpop energy with Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, and Olivia Dean leading the charge—marking a notably female-forward headlining slate—while The Smashing Pumpkins bring nostalgic alt-rock power, The xx deliver indie introspection, JENNIE adds K-pop star power, and local hero John Summit reps Chicago’s electronic scene.
Why This Lineup Stands Out
- Pop Dominance: Charli XCX (fresh off massive cultural waves with her recent work), Lorde (returning with her signature introspective anthems), Tate McRae (rising pop sensation), and Olivia Dean (soulful breakout) create a powerhouse pop block that’s perfect for massive sing-alongs under the Chicago skyline.
- Rock & Indie Vibes: The Smashing Pumpkins headline with their iconic sound—it’s been over 30 years since they’ve played a U.S. Lollapalooza—joined by The xx for moody, atmospheric sets.
- Global & Local Flair: JENNIE brings international flair, and John Summit keeps the hometown pride alive with high-energy house and techno.
Beyond the headliners, the undercard is stacked with must-see acts like Lil Uzi Vert, Turnstile, Sombr, Zara Larsson, Clipse, YUNGBLUD, Beabadoobee, Ethel Cain, Empire of the Sun, Major Lazer, The Neighbourhood, Wet Leg, Blood Orange, MUNA, Freddie Gibbs, Geese, Little Simz, and many more—spanning hip-hop, indie, electronic, and alternative.
