Phil Anselmo is bringing Pantera home. For the first time in 30 years, the band plays New Orleans as headliner of The Great NOLA Trendkill, a two-day metal takeover at Lakefront Arena on November 20–21, 2026. The fest is named for Pantera’s 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill, lands on the same day Down drop Volume V, and stacks the bill with Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar, Eyehategod, and more.
Artist presale is already rolling with code NOLA. General public tickets go on sale Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m. CST. If you want floor access or a two-day pass, do not wait for resale to spike.

What’s happening
The Great NOLA Trendkill is a two-day indoor festival presented with Housecore Horror, Housecore Records, and Live Nation. Individual daily lineups have not been split yet. Confirmed acts:
- Pantera
- Down (official Volume V record-release show)
- Black Label Society
- Corrosion of Conformity
- Power Trip
- Crowbar
- Eyehategod
- Pig Destroyer
- Rāde
- Herakleion
Several players work double and triple duty. Zakk Wylde plays with Pantera and Black Label Society. Anselmo fronts Pantera and Down. Pepper Keenan is in Down and Corrosion of Conformity. Kirk Windstein is in Down and Crowbar. Jimmy Bower has history with Down, Crowbar, and Eyehategod. That is the NOLA family tree in one arena.
Anselmo called it a dream weekend in his hometown: Pantera, Down, local and national bands, Housecore Records, and a revived Housecore Horror program with screenings, guests, and vendors around the city (horror events are separately ticketed and still being announced).
Down’s Volume V (Nuclear Blast) is due November 20, 2026, the first night of the fest. Lead single is “Blood Oath”; the album also includes “Merciful Fate” with King Diamond. Down / Nuclear Blast details
How to buy The Great NOLA Trendkill tickets
Official on-sale window
- Artist presale: Sept. 8 at 12 p.m. CST through Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. CST
- Password: NOLA
- General sale: Friday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. CST
- Start at pantera.com/tour and Ticketmaster Lakefront Arena
Ticketmaster currently lists a 2-day ticket product for Nov. 20–21. Single-day splits, if offered, should appear closer to or at general on-sale. Travel VIP packages (festival tickets, 2-night hotel, merch, shuttle) have been mentioned by metal press; check the official Pantera and Live Nation flows before buying third-party “VIP.”
Compare primary vs. resale Primary is almost always safer on fees and delivery. After Friday’s on-sale, check these if official inventory is gone or you need a specific section:
- StubHub
- Vivid Seats
- Capital City Tickets
- Ticketmaster resale (same account as primary)
Use the same marketplace for both tickets if you are buying a pair. Mobile transfer is standard. Avoid screenshots, “meet at the gate,” or social DMs.
Price reality Face value has not been widely published yet. Expect two-day passes and floor/GA to move first. Resale on a hometown Pantera date plus a Down album-release night will climb if the on-sale sells through. Set a budget before Friday and refresh official inventory first.
Lakefront Arena FAQ (New Orleans)
Address: 6801 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122
Capacity: about 8,900–10,200 depending on concert setup (full house / festival floor configs run larger than basketball).
Parking: On-site lots. Fees vary by event. Some lots are grass and get muddy after rain. Arrive early; do not assume French Quarter ride-share timing will hold on a two-day metal weekend.
Bags: Clear bag policy — one clear bag up to 12″ x 12″ or a clutch 5″ x 7″. No backpacks, large purses, or patterned “clear” bags. Security screening is required.
Tickets: Mobile only. Box office is on the west side facing Franklin Avenue if your Ticketmaster order fails on show day. Bring photo ID, the card used to buy, and the order number. Regular box office hours are limited (typically Tue–Fri); event-day hours expand.
Seating tips: Lower-bowl center is the best reserved view. Floor is loud and close but sightlines depend on production and crowd height. Upper-bowl center is the value play. Avoid extreme side angles if you want the full stage.
Prohibited: Weapons, outside food/drink, professional cameras with removable lenses, recording devices, glass, aerosols, spiked jewelry, chains, lasers. Smoking is not allowed inside.
Getting there: The arena sits by the lakefront / UNO campus, not in the Quarter. Plan hotel + rideshare or a rental. If you fly into MSY, budget extra time on Friday of festival weekend.

Why this date will sell
- Pantera has not played New Orleans in three decades.
- The festival name is a 30th-anniversary nod to The Great Southern Trendkill.
- Down’s first full album since Over the Under (2007) drops the same day as night one.
- The bill is a Southern metal reunion: Down, Crowbar, Eyehategod, COC, plus Power Trip, Pig Destroyer, and BLS.
- Housecore Horror adds a second reason for out-of-town fans to book the whole weekend.
