Foo Fighters are opening for AC/DC again.
After the one-night St. Louis pairing on September 8, Dave Grohl and company are back as special guests for AC/DC’s rescheduled Power Up Tour closer at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Friday, October 2, 2026. The original September 25 date was postponed because of a nor’easter. Existing tickets will be honored.
That makes two U.S. dates this year where two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame stadium acts share one bill — rare for a tour that otherwise features The Pretty Reckless as support.
Tickets are on sale now. Upper-level inventory is still circulating on the official market and verified resale, but demand jumped once the Foo Fighters add-on became public.
What changed — and why it matters
AC/DC’s North American Power Up run was already scheduled to end with Philadelphia on September 29 and MetLife on September 25. Weather forced MetLife to October 2, which now becomes the tour finale.
Foo Fighters first filled in for The Pretty Reckless in St. Louis. That was billed as a one-off detour from the Take Cover Tour. The MetLife date is the second time.
If you already hold September 25 tickets, do nothing except confirm the new date in your Ticketmaster account. New buyers should compare official inventory first, then verified secondary listings.
Where to buy AC/DC + Foo Fighters MetLife tickets
Start here:
- Official AC/DC / Ticketmaster listing: Ticketmaster AC/DC tickets
- Venue page (doors, parking hours, reschedule notice): MetLife Stadium AC/DC event
- Band notice: AC/DC official — New Jersey concert rescheduled
- Reporting on the second Foo Fighters date: JamBase
Show time is listed as 7:00 p.m. Doors typically open 5:30 p.m. Parking lots for this event have been listed as opening 2:00 p.m. Confirm the night-of schedule on the venue page before you leave.
Recent marketplace snapshots have shown upper-level tickets starting in the low-to-mid $100s all-in on some platforms, with lower bowl and pit much higher. Prices move by the hour. Compare total cost (fees included), delivery method, and seller guarantee — not just the sticker price.
Also check the same-week Philadelphia date if MetLife pricing or travel doesn’t work:
Philly still lists The Pretty Reckless as support and often has cheaper get-in prices than the New Jersey finale.
MetLife Stadium: parking, bags, transit
Parking: Prepaid permits are the smoother option for big concerts. MetLife’s general event parking page is here: MetLife Stadium general event parking. Concert parking is also listed on secondary sites; expect $50-range walk-up or prepaid car rates depending on lot and demand. Tailgating is typically allowed (one car, one space) unless the venue posts otherwise. Lots close a couple of hours after the show.
Bags: Clear-bag policy is in effect. Clear bags 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or smaller, plus a small clutch 4.5″ x 6.5″. One bag per person. No re-entry.
Transit: NJ Transit Meadowlands rail from Secaucus Junction is the least stressful option for many NYC-area fans. Check same-day schedules; last trains after stadium shows run late but are not unlimited.
Rideshare: Use the posted drop-off / pick-up zones (often Lot E / Verizon Gate area). Friday traffic plus post-show surge will be slow. Plan extra time.
Mobile tickets only. Screenshot tickets can fail at the gate if barcodes refresh.
Quick buying tips before October 2
- Check official Ticketmaster first for remaining face-value or official Platinum inventory.
- If you use StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, or Capital City Tickets, filter for instant / mobile transfer and compare all-in price.
- Four-ticket limits were in place on the original on-sale. Don’t assume you can grab a large block late.
- Parking is a separate purchase. Buy it with the ticket if you can.
- Weather already moved this show once. Screenshot your order confirmation and watch email from Ticketmaster / Live Nation.
St. Louis vs. MetLife — two different tickets
September 8 in St. Louis was the surprise one-off. October 2 at MetLife is the weather-moved tour closer with Foo Fighters added again. Different cities, different inventory, different travel math. Don’t assume St. Louis listings or setlist chatter apply one-for-one to New Jersey.
If you missed St. Louis, this is the last announced U.S. chance to see both bands on the same stadium bill in 2026.
