Altın Gün’s first North American headline run since 2023 is days away. The Amsterdam-based Turkish psych-folk band plays 15 theater and ballroom dates from September 6–26, 2026, in support of Garip (ATO Records), with The Black Angels co-founder Alex Maas opening every night.

This is a short, tight routing: two nights in Vancouver, then a coast-to-coast hop through Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh. These rooms cap out. If you want rail or a reserved seat that isn’t a last-row compromise, buy official first and compare resale on all-in price.

Best places to buy tickets
1. Official / primary
Start on the venue page or the promoter’s seller (Ticketmaster, AXS, TicketWeb, Etix). That’s the cleanest face-value path for mobile tickets.
Examples already live:
- AXS — Brooklyn Steel
- Live Nation — Orpheum Theatre, LA
- TicketWeb — Howard Theatre, DC
- Portland Crystal Ballroom sold through Etix / Cascade (venue partner)
2. Venue box office
Crystal Ballroom, First Avenue, Vic Theatre, Union Transfer, and similar rooms sometimes hold a few tickets at the window. Call the week of the show if the map looks empty.
3. Resale — compare all-in
SeatGeek, StubHub, and Vivid Seats. Ignore the teaser price. Sort by total with fees, check transfer type, and confirm GA vs. reserved. A “front row” listing at Brooklyn Steel or Showbox is still standing room.
Deal order that usually works this close to a run
- Official map
- Same-night comparison on all three resale sites
- Recheck 48 hours before doors — some holds drop, some prices spike
General onsale was March 27, 2026 (presale code used at announcement: GARIP2026). That window is over. You’re in leftover-primary + resale territory now.
City and venue notes
Vancouver — The Pearl (Sep 6–7)
Tour opener, two nights. Night one often has more inventory; night two is the safer “they’ve settled in” show.
Seattle / Portland / SF
Showbox SoDo, Crystal Ballroom, and Regency Ballroom are classic standing rooms. Crystal Ballroom is GA floor with limited 21+ mezzanine seats. Arrive early for rail.
Los Angeles — Orpheum Theatre (Sep 12)
The most “theater” night on the West Coast. Reserved seating beats a packed ballroom if you want to watch the bağlama and vocals instead of fighting for space.
Minneapolis — First Avenue (Sep 15) and Chicago — Vic Theatre (Sep 16)
Two of the best rooms on the routing for this band. Vic is 18+. Midweek dates can still move if the floor is gone.
Toronto — Danforth Music Hall (Sep 18) and Montreal — Théâtre Beanfield (Sep 19)
Assigned-seat theaters. Better for hearing the blend than a GA crush. Check ID rules at the door.
Boston — Big Night Live (Sep 22)
General-admission club energy after a run of theaters. Plan on standing.
Brooklyn Steel (Sep 23)
Highest East Coast demand after LA. 16+ on the AXS listing — confirm before you buy for a younger fan.
Philadelphia — Union Transfer (Sep 24) and D.C. — Howard Theatre (Sep 25)
Back-to-back mid-Atlantic nights. Howard Theatre is all ages on the TicketWeb listing; still verify bag and ID policy.
Pittsburgh — Roxian Theatre (Sep 26)
Tour closer. Sometimes the quietest map on a run — sometimes the cheapest last-minute seats. Compare before you drive.
Age limits, bag size, and re-entry change by room. Check the venue event page for that date.
What the show is built around
Garip is Altın Gün’s tribute to Turkish folk bard Neşet Ertaş — folk source material run through psych, synth, and groove. Live, that usually means bağlama and three-part vocals up front, with the rhythm section pushing songs past the record versions. Alex Maas as opener fits the psych lane without turning the night into a festival bill.
If you only know the earlier Anatolian funk records, this run is the Garip-era band in rooms that actually fit the sound.
FAQ
When does the tour start?
September 6, 2026 in Vancouver. It ends September 26 at the Roxian.
Is this their first North American tour in a while?
Yes — first NA headline routing since 2023.
Who is opening?
Alex Maas of The Black Angels, announced on all dates.
Are tickets still available?
Yes on many nights, but inventory is leftover primary plus resale. Check official first.
How much are tickets?
Theater and ballroom prices vary by city and timing. Compare official face value to all-in resale. Don’t trust a listing that hides fees until checkout.
Is the show all ages?
No single rule. Howard Theatre has been listed all ages; Vic Theatre 18+; Brooklyn Steel 16+; Crystal Ballroom mixed GA / 21+ mezz. Confirm on the venue page.
Where should I stand or sit?
GA floor for energy (Showbox, Crystal Ballroom, Brooklyn Steel, Big Night Live). Reserved theater seats at the Orpheum, Danforth, Beanfield, and Howard if you want sightlines and sound.
