Jack Johnson and Brandi Carlile will headline the third annual Zootown Music Festival on June 18–19, 2027, at the Missoula Fairgrounds (Missoula County Fairgrounds) in Missoula, Montana. Johnson is making his long-awaited Montana debut at the outdoor destination festival, which pairs world-class music with easy access to the region’s rivers, trails, and mountain views.
The stacked lineup of more than 20 artists (reported as 24 bands across two stages in some coverage) also includes Caamp, Alabama Shakes, Sierra Ferrell, Whiskey Myers, Courtney Barnett, Kitchen Dwellers, Sammy Rae & The Friends, The Felice Brothers, Cimafunk, Bertha: Grateful Drag, Steph Strings, The Hip Abduction, and a strong slate of Montana acts such as Izaak Opatz, The Timber Rattlers, and Desperate Electric. Past editions featured The Lumineers, The Chicks, Hozier, and Kacey Musgraves. The event previously won Montana’s Tourism Destination of the Year Award and draws fans from all 50 states.
Ticket Presale, On-Sale & Pricing
Limited “First Cast” two-day general admission tickets—the lowest-priced option of the year—sold out quickly after the 2026 festival without any lineup announced.
Presale for single-day and two-day passes begins Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. MT at ZootownFestival.com. Access is available to prior attendees (2025 or 2026) and those signed up for SMS or email updates.
General onsale starts the same day at noon MT. Layaway plans will be offered for all ticket types with as little as 10% down. A limited number of two-day and single-day GA tickets will also be available in person at Rockin Rudy’s in downtown Missoula at a special locals-only rate.
Official face-value prices had not been published as of the lineup announcement. Secondary-market listings (as of late October 2026) showed two-day passes starting roughly in the $650–$717 all-in range and single-day options from about $466–$502, though prices fluctuate. Check ZootownFestival.com for the official inventory first, then compare verified resale options on platforms such as Capital City Tickets if needed. All sales are final except in the case of cancellation.
How to Get the Best Deals
- Sign up for SMS/email alerts on the official site for presale access.
- Set a reminder for October 30 at 10 a.m. MT.
- Prioritize two-day passes if you want both headliners and the full experience.
- Consider the locals-only option at Rockin Rudy’s if you’re in the Missoula area.
- Use layaway if it helps lock in tickets before prices rise.
- After the official sale, monitor secondary markets but factor in fees and verify seller ratings.
Venue Guide: Missoula Fairgrounds
The festival takes place at Missoula County Fairgrounds (1101 South Avenue West, Missoula, MT 59801). The grounds feature mountain views on multiple sides and two main stages (previously known as Trailhead and Lookout). The festival is designed as a destination event with morning outdoor activities available—think fly fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, biking, trail rides, and guided hikes—before afternoon and evening sets.
Practical notes from prior years (always confirm current details on the official site closer to the event):
- On-site parking is limited; advance parking or shuttle passes are strongly recommended. Shuttles have previously run from the University of Montana area and downtown locations.
- Standing-room GA is common; reserved seating and higher-tier options (GA+, VIP, Platinum) are typically offered. Chairs are often restricted or available only via festival rental.
- Free water stations, local food vendors (including vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options), bars, merchandise, and locker rentals with charging have been part of the experience.
- Kids policies and re-entry rules vary by year; check the latest FAQ.
- The festival helps kick off Missoula Pride weekend (June 18–20, 2027), including the Pride Parade.
Produced by Switchback Presents, Knitting Factory Presents, and Shore Sound Entertainment, Zootown has established itself as one of the stronger destination festivals in the Mountain West. Full schedule details and set times are expected closer to the event.
