Ozzfest is coming back to the United States in 2027. Organizers confirmed the stateside return on official social channels on September 21, 2026, after locking the U.K. edition at Villa Park in Birmingham — the same stadium that hosted Ozzy Osbourne’s final show, Back to the Beginning, in July 2025.
No U.S. city, date, or lineup is public yet. Jack Osbourne has said a headliner and location announcement is close, and that 2027 is planned as a one-day event, not a multi-day touring festival. Sharon Osbourne has said the reboot will keep Ozzfest’s original job: putting young bands in front of a big crowd. A traveling U.S. run is more likely in 2028 if demand is there.
Last U.S. Ozzfest: December 31, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Before that, the brand lived at Southern California sheds (San Bernardino / Glen Helen) during the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest years. Those markets — L.A., Inland Empire, plus historic touring stops like Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, New York/New Jersey sheds, and Phoenix — are the cities fans are already lobbying for on the official teaser post: “Where are you hoping Ozzfest 2027 will pop up?”

Do not buy “Ozzfest 2027 USA” listings that claim a locked city or date. Those are speculative or scam inventory.
Likely U.S. cities (fan + history filter)
Sharon asked fans where America should go. History and logistics point to these first:
- Los Angeles / Inglewood — last official U.S. Ozzfest (The Forum, 2018)
- San Bernardino / Glen Helen — Ozzfest Meets Knotfest home
- Dallas–Fort Worth — longtime touring-fest stop
- Chicago / Tinley Park
- Detroit / Clarkston (DTE)
- New York / New Jersey sheds (Holmdel, Wantagh, Camden)
- Phoenix
- Denver
When the city drops, ticket demand will spike in that metro first, then on resale nationally. Set price alerts the same day — don’t wait for “cheap later.” Festival one-offs like this usually get more expensive after the lineup lands.
How to buy fast (and actually keep the cheap tickets)
Tickets are not on sale. This is the playbook so you are first in line when they are.
1. Official first
Expect Ticketmaster and/or Live Nation (Sharon has publicly referenced Live Nation talks). Also watch AXS if an arena/Forum-style building is chosen. Create accounts now, verify email/phone, and save a card. Official on-sale pages will appear on Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and the festival’s own site.
2. Presales to watch
Typical stack for a Live Nation–tied fest:
- Artist / Ozzfest fan club or mailing list
- Venue / building presale
- Credit-card (Citi, Amex, Chase)
- Live Nation / Ticketmaster verified-fan or artist presale
- Public on-sale
Join the list on ozzfest.com and @theozzfest. Turn on Instagram post notifications.
3. Compare all-in price, not the face number
Dynamic pricing and service fees can double a “$79 GA” post. Always check the checkout total. If official inventory is gone or only VIP remains, compare:
- StubHub
- Vivid Seats
- Capital City Tickets
- Ticketmaster Face Value / Official Platinum / Fan-to-Fan when enabled
Buy from platforms with buyer guarantees. Avoid screenshots, Cash App “presales,” and Instagram DMs.
4. How to get the cheaper seats
- Hit the first presale, not the public on-sale.
- Take GA or lawn/upper bowl first if the goal is “in the building cheap.” Upgrade later only if face-value VIP is still listed.
- Ignore day-of FOMO unless you can see the ticket in a transfer-ready app. Many metal fests are mobile-only.
- If two U.S. days ever get added (Sharon floated fan demand for extra nights in the U.K.), the second day is often cheaper after the first sells.
5. Avoid the usual traps
- Listings that name a U.S. city before Ozzfest does
- “Ozzy hologram VIP meet & greet” packages
- Tickets that can’t be transferred in the official app
- Insurance add-ons priced at 8–12% unless you actually need cancel-for-any-reason coverage
Price reality check (until official tiers drop)
There is no official 2027 U.S. price grid. Use recent comparable one-day metal fests and the 2017 Ozzfest Meets Knotfest published range (~$29–$239) as a planning band, not a promise:
- Early GA / lawn-style: often the bargain if you buy hour one
- Reserved pavilion / 100-level: mid
- VIP / pit / club: 2–3× GA once the headliner is named
Resale will jump the day the city and headliner drop. The cheap window is the official presale, not two months later.
Venue / day-of FAQ (generic until the building is named)
Will it tour?
Not in 2027. One U.S. pop-up is the stated plan; a 2028 tour is “if people want it.”
Mobile tickets?
Assume yes. Screenshot barcodes often fail at the gate when the venue refreshes them.
Parking
Sheds and stadiums fill early. Pre-buy official lots when the venue page goes live. Rideshare surge after a one-day metal bill is brutal — screenshot your pickup pin before the last song.
Bag policy
Clear-bag rules at Forum / NFL-style stadiums / Live Nation sheds. Check the specific venue page the week of the show.
Transfers
Use the official app only. Third-party “will call name change” stories are how people lose tickets.
