Widespread Panic will ring in 2027 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday, December 31, 2026. Both nights are listed for an 8:00 p.m. start. The band confirmed the run on its site as its first Charlotte stand in over a decade, and JamBase reported the shows as a food-drive event.
This is also Panic’s first New Year’s run outside Atlanta since 2022. The Fox Theatre, the band’s usual NYE home in recent years, is booked December 31 for the Toy Factory Project, a Marshall Tucker Band tribute featuring Marcus King, Oteil Burbridge, Charlie Starr, and Paul T. Riddle. Fans who usually plan around Atlanta now have a Queen City alternative about four hours up I-85.

Why this run is a big deal for Charlotte
Widespread Panic last played Charlotte on December 30, 2014, at The Fillmore and December 31, 2014, at what was then Time Warner Cable Arena. The band last played the building now called Bojangles Coliseum on October 16, 2003, when it was still Cricket Arena. For a lot of North Carolina fans, this is the first chance in 12 years to catch a Panic NYE without leaving the state.
Widespread Panic Bojangles Coliseum
Bojangles Coliseum opened in 1955, seats about 10,829, and sits under a 332-foot dome. It is part of the Bojangles Entertainment Complex (the BOplex) at 2700 East Independence Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28205, next to Ovens Auditorium. Venue details and the seating chart are on Bojangles Coliseum and BOplex parking and policies.
Ticket prices and what is still available
Public onsale was Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. In early October the band posted that more two-day tickets had been released so additional fans could do both nights.
Resale inventory was still open on both dates as of October 2, 2026, but New Year’s Eve was already the expensive night:
| Show | Listed start | Sample all-in low (Oct. 2) |
|---|---|---|
| Wed, Dec. 30 | 8:00 p.m. | About $169 lower level; GA floor from about $266 |
| Thu, Dec. 31 (NYE) | 8:00 p.m. | About $353 lower level; GA floor from about $871 |
| Two-day pass | Dec. 30–31 | Often well above single-night NYE prices |
Those figures are a snapshot from secondary listings and will move with demand. Face-value seats, if any remain on Ticketmaster, are usually the better buy. Compare the all-in total — ticket plus fees — before you check out, and do not assume a “cheap” upper-level seat on NYE will stay near the December 30 price.
Start with the official onsale path on Ticketmaster and the band’s ticket links on widespreadpanic.com. Secondary markets such as SeatGeek, StubHub, and Vivid Seats only make sense after you have checked primary inventory.
How to buy without overpaying
- Check Ticketmaster first for any remaining face-value or newly released two-day tickets.
- December 30 is the value night. If NYE is out of range, a single Wednesday ticket still gets you a full Panic show in a room the band has not played since 2003.
- Two-day passes are the fan-favorite route, but they price like a destination weekend. Only buy one if you actually want both setlists.
- Avoid screenshot tickets and unofficial “will-call” offers. Transfer should land in your Ticketmaster or venue account before you pay a stranger.
- Prices on resale can drop closer to the show if inventory sits, but NYE jam runs rarely get cheap. If a lower-level seat near the October low works for your budget, waiting is a gamble.
Bojangles Coliseum: seating, parking, and entry
The floor and lower bowl are the standard Panic targets. Accessible seating is available in sections 106, 108, 110, 121, and 123. A full map is on the venue seating chart via Bojangles Coliseum.
Parking is included with many ticketed events at the complex. When it is not, the venue lists a $10 fee. Lots typically open two hours before the show. Use Paul Buck Boulevard / Arena Boulevard to reach the lots. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is next to Ovens Auditorium off Paul Buck Boulevard. The venue suggests arriving about an hour early on big nights. Customer service is (704) 372-3600; the ticket office is (704) 335-3100. Policy details are on the BOplex A–Z guide.
Bag policy: non-clear bags larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches are not allowed. Clear bags are limited as well. Audio recording gear is prohibited. Alcohol is sold to guests 21 and older. Tickets are required for everyone age 2 and older at most events — confirm the age rule with the box office before you bring kids on NYE.
Food drive and what to expect
JamBase billed the Charlotte run as a food-drive event. Bring nonperishable donations if the band or venue posts a collection point closer to show week, and check widespreadpanic.com for the latest ask. Panic NYE shows are long, two-set nights with a midnight crossover on the 31st. Setlists are not announced in advance. The band’s recent North Carolina run in Wilmington included a rare “Burning Down the House,” but Charlotte will get its own books.
Hotels along Independence Boulevard and in Uptown fill up for NYE. Book refundable rates now if you are coming from Raleigh, Atlanta, Asheville, or out of state. The complex is on the east side of Charlotte, not in Uptown, so plan the ride back before midnight traffic hits.
